STAFF ACCOUNTANT POSITION (FULL-TIME)

We are a well-established, full-service tax and accounting firm, seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Iron Mountain, Michigan.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Process client payrolls as well as ensuring compliance with payroll laws

• Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports

• Enter client data into Quickbooks on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis

• Review client accounting records and perform closing journal entries

• Preparation of account reconciliations

• Manage one or more client assignments simultaneously

• Prepare individual and business tax returns a plus

• Build strong working relationships with clients and peers

Qualifications, skills and experience:

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business 

• Self-driven with ability to manage their time relative to deadlines

• Strong verbal & written communication skills

• Transactional analysis and problem solving

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software

• Experience with QuickBooks

• Familiarity with Creative Solutions Fixed Asset Software and Ultra Tax software preferred

• Ability to work independently and multi-task within a group environment
